Crystal Palace Beats PSG,SPURS To Wrap Up £19.5m Signing of Super Eagles Invitee, Eberechi Eze
Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Eberechi Eze in a deal worth £19.5million.
The 22-year-old winger has put pen to paper on a five-year deal at Selhurst Park.
After finalising his move from QPR, Eze said: ‘As a football club, I feel like there are great players here and it’s a brilliant opportunity for me to come and be with these players, to link up with them and to really push on.
‘
Palace have paid £14m up front though Sportsmail understands the fee will rise to £19.5m.
The England Under-21 international had attracted interest from newly-promoted sides Fulham and West Brom but opted to join the Eagles instead.
Eze enjoyed a sensational campaign last season in the Championship, scoring 14 times and registering eight assists in 46 matches.
The deal for the winger could now pave the way for Wilfried Zaha’s exit.
Zaha, 27, is said to be determined to secure a move away from Palace this summer after missing out on joining Arsenal last year.
Paris Saint-Germain, Monaco and Borussia Dortmund are all reportedly interested in signing the Ivory Coast winger.
Palace, meanwhile, are also closing in on Mainz striker Jean Philippe Mateta after submitting a bid in the region of £14.5m.
