GOV BUNI PRESENTS CASH TO FAMILIES OF DECEASED POLICE OFFICER/VICTIMS AFTER TARMUWA BH ATTACK

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State yesterday presented one Million naira ( N1,000,000,00) to the family of Police Mopol/officer who died in combat action and the sum of Five hundred thousand naira (N500,000,00) each to two others who sustained injuries during the Boko Haram attack in Babangida, the Headquarter of Tarmuwa Local Government Area.
Recalled that some insurgents invaded Babangida town last week Saturday 24th October, 2020 and attacked some locations including Police station and a market, in which, 6 terrorists were killed in the encounter with security operatives.
Presenting the cash, the Governor who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, (SSG), Baba Mallam Wali commiserated with the families of the deceased and victims of the attack, and assured government’s determination to support security agencies in the fight against terrorism and other crimes in the state.
Wali said, the gesture is to cushion the immediate hardship faced by the family of the deceased and those who sustained various degrees of gunshot wounds during the attack.
The gallant officers, according to the SSG successfully repelled the attack by inflicting heavy casualties on the Boko Haram Terrorist.
“The yobe state under the leadership of His Excellency Hon Mai Mala Buni has sustained the policy of boosting high the morale of all security Agencies by assisting with with token/assistance of One Million naira ( N1,000,000,00) each to the family of officer who died in combat action and the sum of Five hundred thousand naira (N500,000,00) each to officers who sustained injury while in combat action”. He said.
