Sounds of gunshots rend the air around Alaba Rago, a market situated adjacent the Lagos State University on Monday morning.
Eyewitnesses said sporadic gunshots were heard as security operatives made efforts to bring the situation under control.

Amateur videos of the incident were circulated on different social media platforms.
The clash is reportedly between members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and some motorcycle riders in the area.
The crisis has forced the management of LASU to close the gates of the school as students and staff have been urged to remain within the premises.
