IBRAHIM KIDA TO CONTEST FOR CHAIRMANSHIP OF HAWUL LGA UNDER APC

Former Chairman, Nigeria  Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed Kida yesterday presented his expression and nomination form to the State Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon Ali Bukar Dalori to contest for the Chairmanship general elections slated to hold on 28th November, 2020.
Interestingly, this would be the first Local Government Election to be conducted across the 27 Council Areas in the last dozen year due to the activities of insurgents.
At a colourful ceremony which took place at the Party Secretariat in Maiduguri, our Correspondent gathered that Alhaji Ibrahim Kida aspiration would slug it out at the primaries with other two aspirants who have also picked up the same forms.
Ibrahim Kida, also a former treasurer Hawul LGA during the presentation was accompanied by member representing Hawul at the Borno State House of Assembly, Hon Ayuba Stephen Wakawa, other top APC echelons and teaming supporters from Hawul including former Caretaker Chairmen, Councillors and party executives.
Ibrahim Kida in an interview expressed gratitude to God Almighty for giving him the opportunity to aspire as Chairman on the platform of the great ruling APC.
He equally thanked the leaders of the party, especially Governor Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, the State Party Chairman, Hon Ali Bukari Dalori, the APC stakeholders and his good people of Hawul for their support to ensure he won the primaries and defeat other candidates of the oppositions in the forthcoming general elections.
Ibrahim Kida said “as grassroot politician, when given the mandate, i promised to consolidate on the achievements put in place in Hawul by previous administrations, and do more in the areas of qualitative education, health, poverty alleviation, agricultural transformation, youth/women empowerment and inclusive governance devoid of sentiment.”
He therefore urged the entire people of the area to continue to pray for the restoration of peace in the state, and unite with one voice, especially now that the present administration is doing everything possible to end the decade menace of Boko Haram.
In his speech, Hon Wakawa thanked the State APC chairman Hon Dalori and his team who ensured a level playing ground is guaranteed before, during and after the primaries.
Hon Wakawa described the emergence/endorsement of Ibrahim Kida as a Live-Saving Grace to the progress of Hawul, considering his pedigree. End
