Igbemo General Assembly Commends Fayemi on Airport and Other Projects

 

The Igbemo General Assembly (IGA) and Onigbemo-in-Council have commended the Governor Kayode Fayemi administration in Ekiti State for locating the airport in the town.

In a statement jointly signed by Kabiyesi Onigbemo of Igbemo Ekiti, Oba Adewumi Daramola and the IGA National President, Chief Bola Olowosejeje and made available to newsmen on Monday, the town Union commended the state government for the airport initiative.

According to the statement, the Union noted, “We wish to commend Governor Fayemi for citing part of the airport in Igbemo Ekiti as it will open up the economy of our town and bring about rapid develooment”

The statement added further, “On behalf of eminent sons and daughters of Igbemo, the IGA and Onigbemo in Council who are the authentic voice of Igbemo people home and abroad, wholeheartedly welcome the citing of the airport and other ongoing projects in Igbemo” .

  • We equally commmend the government for the payment of compensation to those affected by the location of the airport and we implore the government to look into cases of those who are yet to be compensated in the ongoing exercise.

    We hereby call on those who are yet to collect their compensation to cooperate with the enumeration officials and make available all necessary documents that will facilitate their compensation.

    We appreciate Governor Kayode Fayemi for the ongoing rehabilitation of Ilupeju- Ire-Igbemo- Ijan road and the Iworoko-Are- Afao- Igbemo- Iluomoba road.

    We also call on the contractor handling the internal roads in Igbemo to move back to site and lay the asphalt as it is currently being done by other contractors in neighbouring towns.

    We also call on the state government to extend pipe borne water to Igbemo as being enjoyed by other towns.
