No Plan To Sack Any Worker — Ekiti Assembly Commission

Ekiti State House of Assembly Service Commission has denied the speculations that it is planning to lay off some staff working under the commission.

Chairman of the Commission, Chief Taiwo Olatubosun said the alarm raised by some workers was just a figment.

The Nigeria Labour Congress NLC had written a letter to the Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly where it raised fair over plan to sack some workers through the ongoing Audi of staff in the commission.

But the Chairman, Ekiti State House of Assembly Service Commission, Hon Taiwo Olatunbosun contradicted the position canvassed by the labour leaders, saying there wasn’t any attempt to sack any worker.

The former Deputy Speaker said: “For the purpose of clarity, we are not sacking anybody. Staff audit is a periodic policy allowed by law to update our staff strength and ascertain our nominal roll.

“I don’t understand what the labour leaders were saying that the audit was intended to sack people. I want to say that this allegation was wrong . We never had the intention of sacking anyone under any guise”.
