Ahead of their scheduled parley with the ruling All Progressives Congress and the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, in Abuja, a number of senators-elect and members-elect of the House of Representatives were on Sunday spotted in town.
Among those seen were the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan; Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, who was recently re-elected as the senator representing Ekiti Central Senatorial District, and Kano North senator-elect, Barau Jibrin.
The closed door meeting, which is scheduled to hold at the State House in Abuja on Monday, has generated a lot of talking interest in the last few days.

“However, it was agreed that something urgent should be done about it immediately our presidential and vice presidential candidates emerged victorious at the poll.
“I will not be surprised if the National Chairman comes to the meeting tomorrow (today) with his resignation letter in his pocket.”
Some of the senators in town for the meeting were Senator Sani Musa (Niger East), Opeyemi Bamidele (Ekiti Central). It was gathered that Senator-elect, Pastrick Ndubueze (Imo-North), would fly int
Sources revealed to National Mail Online that incumbent Reps Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila refused to collect his INEC certificate of returns as he has his eyes on the soon to be vacant Chief of Staff to the President’s seat.We also learnt that the victory of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Senator Kashim Shettima makes the retention of the Senate Presidency and Reps Speaker by the present holders unrealistic because the Senate President comes from the same geopolitical zone as the newly elected Vice President. “The fact that the two of them and the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are Muslims means two or all of them must give way for political and religious balancing” Reveals a senior officer in the presidency.
